Issues are now supported across all Noyo Premier carriers

A consistent way for ben-admin teams to understand what went wrong, identify the data that needs attention, and track resolution across all Noyo Premier carriers.

Issues now covers more than 150 types of enrollment problems across the Noyo carrier network, in addition to the upfront validations Noyo runs when member enrollment changes are submitted to our system. This expansion brings Issues support to every API-connected Noyo Premier carrier.

Premier carriers meet Noyo’s highest standards for performance and support, with faster connection setup, near real-time enrollment processing, and tracking and confirmation of updates in carrier systems. These connections give benefits administration teams greater visibility into enrollment processing—and now a better way to detect and resolve enrollment problems.

Noyo’s Premier carrier network includes Aetna, Ameritas, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Beam Benefits, Guardian, Kaiser Permanente, Principal Financial, and UnitedHealthcare.

More enrollment problems in one place

Issues brings problems from different carriers, sources, and steps of the enrollment process into one, consistent view. These are some of the ways Noyo is able to automatically detect enrollment problems and create Issues:

  • Snapshot validations: Invalid data or carrier requests identified when enrollment changes are first submitted to our APIs.

  • Carrier transmissions and responses: Errors reported when a carrier receives or processes a change.

  • Change confirmation: Problems detected when Noyo checks whether an update was completed at the carrier as expected.

  • Routine carrier syncs: Problems identified when Noyo refreshes carrier data and compares it with ben-admin records.

These sources cover a broad range of problems, including conflicting coverage dates, retro changes, invalid demographic info, evidence of insurability, dependent overages, invalid coverages, carrier configuration errors, and a lot more.

Each Issue explains the root cause, who is affected, and how to fix the problem, with guidance that points to the specific invalid or missing data that needs to be corrected. Ben-admin teams can proactively address problems and track progress toward resolution without having to investigate raw carrier errors or spread attention across multiple systems.

Noyo marks an Issue resolved when system evidence confirms the problem is no longer detected—issue detection and resolution are automated.

What’s next

We’re working on two improvements to reduce manual reconciliation work:

  • Less backlog cleanup: Automatically set aside older, inactive Issues so teams can focus on the most current problems, especially as open enrollment season shifts into full gear.

  • Easier ways to manage EDI issues: We're expanding automation and AI processing of EDI error reports to help teams simplify and scale their workflows.
